African Team Ministries – In 2011, African Teams Ministries items were displayed & sold for two weeks for Mother's day. St. George's donated $504.00 to African Team Ministries.

Operation Christmas Child – Since I was two I have made a shoe box filled with surprises to Operation Christmas Child®, a project of Samaritan’s Purse® (an international relief organization that sponsors Operation Christmas Child®), for needy children around the globe. I have always sent a box for a child my age, but as I got older I wanted to do more. In 2010 I told St. George’s about OCC and some of the members donated money and made shoe boxes as well. We sent fifteen boxes. In 2011 my goal was to send fifty boxes. I was planning on packing twenty boxes myself and then having a packing party to complete the others. The St. Cecilia Choir got involved by making t-shirts and crosses for the boxes; several church members completed their own boxes; and many attended the packing party where we wrapped and filled over thirty boxes. With the generous donations of money and supplies from the members of St. George’s, extended family, and local businesses, we were able to fill seventy shoe boxes. Father Paul blessed the boxes on All Saints Sunday before we delivered them. Thank you to all who so generously donated time, money, supplies, and completed boxes to the project.

Prayer Shawl Ministry- This past year the prayer shawl ministry knitted prayer shawls for members of our community and friends. The prayer shawls are blessed and then given to people who have been hospitalized or are in need of comfort.

Outreach to the community continues in the form of support for the following:

Karma Ministry- Feeding those people who are in need because of grief, loss, or any other traumatic experience. We do not discriminate to whom food is given; we just give food. Meetings and cooking are scheduled as needed for the ministry. If you are interested please contact Ardee McKim, Diane David, Rose Versage or Ann Rendon.
