We heard you! - Fuss Free Fellowship

One of the requests that came out of the Parish Meeting was to have fellowship free from fundraising and easy to do. From that we have a series of Summer Sunday Evenings at St. George's. Every other Sunday starting with the 4th of July there will be a fellowship gathering. Watch our St. George's update for information about those Sunday Evening Gatherings.

Fourth of July Gathering

Join us July 4th at 8PM to watch the fireworks displayed at the UCR baseball diamond. Bring your blankets, chairs and a dessert to share.

Summer Service Times

Starting on June 20 we will be starting service at 9:00 AM for the summer. There will be no Sunday School during the summer.

During July & August there will be no 5:00 PM service. Wednesday Bible Study will resume with a study of C. S. Lewis' The Screw Tape Letters on August 18.

Pentecost 2010 - May 23

We are blessed to celebrate the birthday of the Church as well as the coming of the Holy Spirit into the world. Join us Sunday at 10AM as we celebrate this anniversary and the anniversary of the birthday of Betty Coleman!


Please note that there will be only one service this day. No 5PM service this evening.

Lobster Fest 2010

Lobster Fest is just around the corner. We'll be enjoying the fellowship of the church as well as those little critters.

For all who were not able to be at the Annual Meeting... Here is the 48th Annual Report for the Parish of St. George's.

Annual Meeting - January 24

St. George's Annual Meeting will be held January 24 after the 10AM service. Please join us that day as we celebrate the past year and look to the future. 

If you are the head of a ministry, please submit your ministry reports to Peggy at the church email address by January 19 for inclusion into the Annual Report.

If you are interested in running for Vestry or to be a delegate to convention, please see a vestry member or the rector.

Bishop Chester Talton to visit!

Bishop Talton will be with us January 17. We will be changing the time of the service that day only to help Bishop Talton make his other worship commitment that day. Service will be at 9AM and there will be no 5PM service that evening. This will be Bp. Talton's last visit to St. George's as our Suffragan Bishop.

Twelfth Night Celebration on the 9th Night

January 3 at the 5PM service we will have an evening of celebration as the Christmas Season winds down. There will be food (of course) and an Epiphany Play (naturally) and the Eucharist. Please join us that evening as we celebrate together.

Christmas Services

We are blessed that Christmas is during the week this year. Because of that, we can have a 'Greening of the Church' evening. If you are able to come that evening, please let us know by Sunday the 20th. Here is the schedule:

Dia de los Muertos

Join us Sunday November 1st at 5PM for a service of remembrance and a meal. We will be celebrating this holiday on its eve. Bring a picture and mementos of your loved ones to place on the altar. And if you have marigolds in a pot, bring that too!

Funny Money - September 17

St. G's is hosting at night at the Footlighter's Theater in Redlands. This will be a fund raising night for our church. The Theater group will be presenting Funny Money directed by our own Mark Allen-Everett, the assistant director is Diane David and staring Jeffery, Tony, and Greg from St. G's and many others. The  show starts at 8PM and you can get tickets ($20 donation) from a church member or by calling the church at 951-686-9936. See you there!

Home Coming 2009

Join us Sunday September 13 as we welcome our families back home from a restful long summer and all their vacations. Service starts at 9AM on the Front Lawn of St. G's. Please bring blankets or lawn chairs for the service and come in comfortable clothes.

Sherman Indian High School

Join us this Sunday August 30 as we celebrate the work at Sherman Indian High School. We will be hearing Native American songs as sung by our Children's Choir, the stories behind those songs and some Native dancing. Service starts at 9:00AM.
